Expert Qualifications
Mr. Foster J. Peterson has 37 years of experience in Engineering and Railroad Safety. He earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Today, this expert is a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor through the Federal Aviation Administration. Formerly, this expert served as a Senior Managing Consultant with Engineering Systems, Inc. and as a Partner with Full Service Railroad Consulting, Inc. He also served as the Senior Director of Testing and Engineering Applications for Rail Sciences, Inc. He currently serves as a Designated Supervisor of Locomotive Engineers and as the Director of Safety and Operating Practices for the Tennesse Valley Railroad Museum. He is also the Manager of Operating Practices for the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway and both the Rail Director and a Principal with Engineering Systems, Inc.
