Expert Qualifications
Dr. Michael A. Lobatz has 41 years of experience in the field of Neurology. He earned his BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and completed additional training in Neuropharmacology at the University of Illinois Chicago. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine and his residency in Neurology at the UC San Diego Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurology. Formerly, he served as the Medical Director of the Rehabilitation Center and Brain Injury Program at Scripps Memorial Hospital-Encinitas. He also served as the Vice President of Medical Affairs and as the Director of Neurosciences at Scripps Memorial Hospital-Encinitas, and the Neurosciences Service Line at Scripps Health. Currently, he serves as the Medical Director Emeritus of the Rehabilitation Center and as a Staff Neurologist at the Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. He also serves as a Senior Neurologist and Co-Founder at the Neurology Center of Southern California.
