Expert Qualifications
Dr. Charles L. Scott has 26 years of experience in the field of Forensic Psychiatry. He earned his BA in Music from Emory University and his MD from the Emory University School of Medicine. After completing an internship in Transitional Medicine and a residency in Adult Psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he went on to complete his fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry at Letterman Army Medical Center and University Hospitals Case Medical Center, respectively. Today, this expert is board certified in Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Formerly, this expert served as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the UC Davis School of Medicine and as the Director of the Competency Restoration Unit at Feliciana Forensic Facility. He currently serves as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, as the Chief of the Division of Psychiatry and the Law, and as the Director of the Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program at the UC Davis School of Medicine.
