Dr. W. Patrick Joseph has 43 years of experience in the field of Infectious Disease. He earned his BA from West Virginia University and his MD from the West Virginia University School of Medicine. After completing both an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Highland Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the UCSF School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Additionally, he holds a Certificate in Travel Health through the International Society of Travel Medicine. Formerly, this expert served as the Chief of Infectious Disease for Hill Physicians Medical Group and as the Medical Director of the Infectious Disease Research Institute. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the UCSF School of Medicine. He currently serves as the Medical Director of CareDx, Inc.'s XDx Reference Testing Laboratory, Genomic Health Inc.'s Oncology Genetic Testing Laboratory, and Siemen Healthcare Diagnotics, Inc.'s Healthcare Laboratory. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the UCSF School of Medicine and a Physician at San Ramon Regional Medical Center, where he also serves as the Medical Director of Pharmacy Services and as the Chief of Epidemiology and Infection Control. Moreover, he is a Physician Owner of California Infection Control Consultants Medical Group, Inc.
