Expert Qualifications
This expert has over 40 years of experience in the field of geriatric psychiatry. He earned his BS in psychology from Pennsylvania State University and his MD from the University of Miami. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Herrick Memorial Hospital and is dual board certified in psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry. He is active in his field as a member of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, the American Geriatrics Society, and the International PsychoGeriatric Association. He formerly served as the medical director of the geriatric psychiatry inpatient unit at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, as the president of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, and as the supervisor of the geriatric psychiatry fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He also served as the director of geriatric psychiatry at the Jewish Home of San Francisco. This expert is currently a professor of psychiatry at a top medical school in northern California.
