He earned his MS in Environmental Science at Washington State University and is active as a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association as well as the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. He has previously served as the lead instructor for the SUNY Ulster 9-month Sustainable Building Advisor Certification Program for five years, as well as the Board of Directors of the New York Upstate Chapter of the US Green Building Council for 4 years. He has served as the Principal Consultant at an environmental and occupational health and safety consultancy in New York for the last 23 years.
