This qualified advanced practice nurse has over 10 years of experience in her field. She earned her BS in nursing at The Pennsylvania State University and her MS as a nurse practitioner from The University of Pittsburgh. She is a licensed nurse practitioner and a registered nurse as well as a certified prescriptive authority. She specializes in cardiac patients and is experienced in post-operative care for patients who have had cardiothoracic surgery. Formerly, she served as a staff nurse in medical oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and as a staff nurse in cardiopulmonary, as a staff nurse in the medical-surgical ICU, and as a nurse practitioner in cardiothoracic surgery at UPMC Shadyside. Currently, she is a nurse practitioner in cardiovascular care at a university-affiliated heart and vascular center in Pennsylvania.
