This expert earned his BS in Chemistry from the University of Florida, where he also completed his PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry. A member of the International Academy of Wood Science, he is a fellow of the American Chemical Society and has chaired their Cellulose & Renewable Materials Division. He previously served as an Associate Professor of Chemistry in the Institute of Paper Science at Georgia Tech. He currently teaches a prominent university in the Southeast while also holding faculty appointments at various universities in China, South America, and Africa.
