Expert Qualifications
This expert is a board-certified internist with an interest in hospital medicine and critical care. He earned his BS from Duke University and his MD from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine before going on to earn an MBA from Emory University. This expert completed residencies in internal medicine with Yale's New Haven Hospital Surgical Services and Northwestern University. Additionally, he has performed over 35 presentations, interactive workshops, and publications on topics in his professional interest areas, including driving value-based care, quality outcomes and improvement, and the business of medicine. Formerly, he served as director of Consulting/Healthcare Intelligence, vice president of quality improvement for Lumeris, group vice president of quality improvement and innovation for Healthgrades, and as a hospitalist physician with Eastern Maine Healthcare Network's Inland Hospital. He is currently a hospitalist and assistant professor as well as vice president/senior medical director of population health with a prominent health system in NYC.
