Expert Qualifications
This highly qualified expert is based in Stanford, California, and has extensive experience in clinical and forensic psychiatry. He obtained his BS in computational neuroscience from Stanford University, before receiving both his PhD in neuroscience and his MD from the University of California, San Diego. This expert then completed a residency in psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute and a prestigious fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of Pennslyvania. Today, he is board-certified in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry, and he is fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. This expert is also active in academia, having published several peer-reviewed articles. Formerly, he served as the director of forensic evaluations at Oregon State Hospital, as an assistant professor of public psychiatry at the Oregon Health and Sciences University, and as the chair of the Forensic Neuropsychiatry Committee within the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. Currently, this expert works as an affiliate faculty member at a university-affiliated neurosciences institute in northern California, as the training director of the program in psychiatry and the law at a top university in northern California, and as a clinical associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at a top university in northern California. In his free time, he also serves as an associate editor for the Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
