Expert Qualifications
This highly qualified expert is board certified in pediatrics and neonatology. She received her BA in Spanish Literature from Dickinson College before finishing her MEd in early childhood education at Boston College. She worked as an elementary school teacher for school districts in Massachusetts and D.C. for a time before going back to school for her MD with the University of Massachusetts. From there, she completed an internship and residency in pediatrics from the University of Massachusetts and went on to complete her fellowship in neonatology at the same institution. She is an active contributor to her field as a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as a respected researcher with numerous publications, presentations, and clinical innovations. Formerly, she has served academically as an instructor of pediatrics with the University of Massachusetts as well as clinically as a staff pediatrician at Saint Vincent Hospital, and an attending neonatologist in the pediatrics department for both The Elliot Hospital and Boston Medical Center. Currently, she serves as an instructor of pediatrics for a well-respected university in Massachusetts as well as a visiting scientist at the Institute for Medical Engineering & Science at a world-renowned technical university in Massachusetts. Clinically, she currently serves as an attending neonatologist at a university-affiliated hospital as well as two Massachusetts hospitals.
