Expert Qualifications
This highly qualified expert has studied and taught in the field of sports media for over two decades. He received his BS and MA from Indiana University and completed his Ph.D. in communication and culture with a minor in telecommunication at Indiana University. His focus has been mostly on televised sports and big sporting events, specifically studying the way they unfold within television, completing work on the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and other U.S.-based sports media, including the NFL, NBA, and so on. This expert has authored 20 books and has over 140 publications in the realm of sports media. He is an associate editor for a number of academic journals, including Communication & Sport, the Journal of Global Sport Management, and International Olympic Scholar. This expert currently works as the director of sports communication, a professor of journalism and media, and the chair of broadcasting at a top university in Alabama.
