Expert Qualifications
This expert has been in the field of nursing for nearly 15 years. She received both her LPN and ADN from Grand Rapids Community College, her BSN from Ohio University and her MSN from Ferris State University. She is a license registered nurse who is certified in both basic life support and advanced nursing cardiovascular life support. She began her nursing career as a rehabilitation and TBI staff nurse at Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing Center and then transitioned to an RN and facility manager there. She then made the transition to ER nursing, becoming an ER and charge nurse in the emergency room at the Metro Health University of Michigan and then moving into a nursing supervisor and shift administrator role there. She has also been a registered nurse in the emergency room at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Currently, she is adjunct faculty at a community college in Michigan where she provides hands-on instruction to nursing students.
