This highly qualified and fellowship trained expert earned his BA from San Diego State and his MD from University of Chicago. After completing his internal medicine and pediatrics residency, he went on to train under a prestigious fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at San Diego Children's Hospital. He is active in his field as a member of The Society for Critical Care Medicine and has authored over 30 publications including 5 books. Formerly, he served as Co-Medical Director of the PICU at University of Michigan. Currently, he holds an impressive array of both clinical and academic roles. He is an Attending Physician in the PICU and Director of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement at a major university hospital. In addition, he is also Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases at a top tier medical school.
