Expert Witness Response E-007170
I am a board-certified Urologist. I am also the Professor and Chief of the Division of Urology, and the Urology Residency Program Director at a large university hospital. I perform about 1-2 testicular implants per year. These are not common cases. Yes, a motor vehicle accident can cause testicular implant rupture if the impact of the crash involves the genital region. Delayed swelling and pain can occur after rupture of an implant due to slow leak.
