Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert has extensive experience in the field of nursing, with a particular focus on oncology nursing. She received her ASN from Daytona Beach Community College before earning her MSN from Hawaii Pacific University. This expert is certified as an oncology nurse and an advanced clinical oncology nurse specialist. She is active in her field as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Hawaii Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Oncology Nursing Society. She has formerly served as a staff nurse in the medical-surgical unit at Fish Memorial Hospital and the Wahiawa General Hospital and the inpatient chemotherapy unit at Balboa Naval Hospital. She spent over 10 years as a nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center, working as a staff nurse for bone marrow and stem cell transplant, outpatient chemotherapy, and cell separator, as well as serving as the primary nurse for gamma knife radiosurgery and brachytherapy. This expert also served as a clinical instructor for the master's entry program in nursing at the University of Hawaii and an associate professor at Hawaii Pacific University for 11 years. Currently, this expert is the staff trainer for the oncology unit, as well as a staff nurse in the hematology-oncology clinic at a military medical center in Hawaii.
