This highly-qualified expert has over 35 years of experience as a respiratory therapist. She has experience with pulmonary disease management, tracheostomy care And management, arterial blood gases, teaching and training patients with new diagnosis, and home ventilation devices such as CPAP, BIPAP, and ventilators. She earned her AAS in respiratory care therapy from Sanford-Brown College, is a registered respiratory therapist, and certified as a neonatal resuscitation provider and a basic life support instructor. She began her career serving as a registered medical assistant to various physicians, internists, surgeons, and pediatricians. She then served as a registered respiratory therapist for SSM Health in the emergency and trauma departments, cardiac intensive care, and the NICU. Currently, this expert is a registered respiratory therapist at a children's hospital for children, where she works on pre-op and post-op treatment for orthopedic surgery, pulmonary function testing, and education for patients and parents on lung deformities. Additionally, she works as a registered respiratory therapist for a major hospital system in Missouri, where she works on the pulmonary care management and CODE teams.
