Expert Qualifications
This expert has over 30 years of experience as a perfusionist. He earned his BA in general science, zoology, chemistry, and physics from the University of Iowa and his BS in perfusion technology from the University of Texas-Houston. He is board certified in cardiovascular perfusion. He is active in his field as a member of the American Academy of Cardiovascular Perfusion and the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology. This expert is also highly involved in research, having presented numerous scientific presentations and lectures and authored scientific articles and several perfusion clinical and quality improvement policies and procedures. He previously served as a clinical perfusionist for California Heart-Lung Perfusion and Psicor, the director and chief perfusionist of adult and pediatric perfusion at USC, and as the chief of pediatric perfusion at both Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego and Vanderbilt University. This expert is currently a pediatric perfusionist at a children's hospital in Ohio.
