This expert has over 20 years of experience in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. He earned his MD from the University of Craiova School of Medicine in Romania, where he also completed a residency in general surgery. Thereafter, he moved to the United States and completed an internship in general surgery at New York University School of Medicine, a residency in general surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in general and thoracic and cardiac surgery. He remains active in his field, as the holder of 1 patent and as a member of various professional organizations, such as the Association of International Vascular Surgeons, among others. He previously served as the medical director of cardiothoracic surgery at Century City Medical Center, Valley Presbyterian Hospital, and St. Vincent Medical Center. In addition, he served as a clinical instructor of cardiothoracic surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. Currently, he is an attending physician at six medical centers, the director of cardiothoracic surgery at two medical centers, and the chief executive officer, president, and practicing cardiothoracic surgeon at a private practice, all in California.
