This highly-qualified expert has over 35 years of experience as an art appraiser and dealer. He specializes in American and European 19th and 20th century paintings and drawings. He earned his BA in English from Texas Tech University and his MA in art history from the University of Chicago. This expert is certified in American art by the Appraisers Association of America, an organization he is active as a member of. Additionally, he is certified as an appraiser by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. He spent 30 years working in art galleries on Madison Avenue in New York City, with 20 of those years spent as the director of Gerald Peters Gallery. Throughout his career, he has also served as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts and has given talks on American art at numerous museums around the country. Currently, this expert is the director of a private fine arts appraisal and consulting firm based in New York.
