Expert Qualifications
This highly-qualified expert earned his BS in biology from the Military College of South Carolina. He then earned his MD and MPH from the University of Wisconsin. He continued to complete an internship in general surgery and a residency in neurological surgery, both at the Medical University of South Carolina. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in complex spine surgery at the University of Virginia. He is now board certified in neurosurgery and remains active in his field as a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Formerly, this expert was a second lieutenant in the Army National Guard and a captain of the South Carolina Army National Guard Medical Command. He was also an assistant profess of neurological surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he was an attending surgeon at multiple affiliated hospitals. Currently, he is an assistant professor of neurological surgery at the University of Virginia and an attending surgeon at the affiliated health system.
