Expert Qualifications
This expert has 30 years of experience in retail security and loss prevention. He earned his BS in criminal justice and criminology from Metropolitan State College and is a licensed private investigator. This expert has completed extensive technical training through industry organizations, such as the US Army Security Specialist School and the American Society for Industrial Security. Further, he has served on the board of directors and as chairman of the Georgia Retail Association and has published a book on shoplifting prevention for retailers. Among his former roles, this expert has been a military policeman for physical and site security with the US Army, a civilian police officer in Colorado, and a military intelligence officer with the US Army Reserve. In the retail space, he has formerly been the security manager at Associated Grocers of Colorado, manager of regional loss prevention and safety at Payless Cashways Building Materials, and manager of regional loss prevention at Enstar Specialty Retail. He also held directorship roles in loss prevention at The Athletes Foot Group, Inc. and West Building Materials, Inc. For the past 20 years, this expert has been the president of a loss prevention systems company in Georgia.
