Expert Qualifications
This high qualified expert is board certified in otolaryngology with a subspecialty in head and neck surgery. He earned his MD at the Francisco Marroquin University School of Medicine before completing an internship in general surgery and a residency in otolaryngology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. This expert completed two prestigious fellowships in head and neck surgery and skull base surgery at the University of Queensland and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is very active in his field as a member of multiple professional societies including the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the North American Skull Base Society, and the American Head and Neck Society. In addition, this expert has been invited to speak on nearly 100 occasions and has published 12 book chapters, 4 manuscripts, and over 70 peer-reviewed articles. He formerly served as an associate professor of neurosurgery, otolaryngology, and cellular biology at Augusta University as well as being the co-director of the skull base center and the co-chair of the multidisciplinary tumor board. This expert is currently a physician at 2 university-affiliated hospitals in addition to being a professor of neurosurgery and otolaryngology, and the director of otolaryngology skull base surgery at a top medical university in Georgia.
