Expert Qualifications
This board-certified expert earned his BA in History and BS in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed his MD at Universidad Central del Caribe. He went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and another residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the LAC+USC Medical Center. Following his residencies, he completed a fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at the LAC+USC Medical Center. This expert has published several articles on the topic of cardiovascular surgery in many peer-reviewed journals including the Annals of Thoracic Surgery and the World Journal of Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery. Additionally, he remains active in his field as a member of many professional organizations including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the Western Thoracic Surgery Association. Currently, he is an Attending Staff Member at several regional hospitals in California and an Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at a major medical school in California. He also serves as the Director of the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, Director of the Aortic Center, and the Associate Program Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at a top university-affiliated medical center in California.
