Expert Qualifications
Dr. Christopher M. Uchiyama has 25 years of experience in the field of Neurological and Spinal Surgery. He earned his BS from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his MD and PhD from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship in Neurosurgery at the University of Utah Hospital. He also completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in Neurosurgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurological Surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as the Division Head of Neurosurgery at Scripps Green Hospital and Scripps Clinic Medical Group, and as a Physician in the Department of Neurosurgical Oncology at Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center.
