Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert over 40 years of experience in construction, demolition, and crane safety. He received his BA in psychology and sociology from the University of Maryland before earning his MS in safety from the University of Southern California. He also received paramedic training at the Community College of Baltimore and completed the executive program in safety management through the American Society of Safety Professionals. This expert is currently a certified safety professional, associate in risk management, and certified traffic control design specialist. He has extensive knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and ASME standards and experience in critical crane lifts, fall protection, scaffolds, shoring, excavation, trenching, heavy equipment, demolition, precast concrete and steel erection, concrete, confined space entry, forklifts, and public safety. He is active in his field as a member of the American National Standards Institute and the American Society of Safety Professionals and has received awards for his work, including an Excellence in Safety Management award. He has formerly served as a safety engineer for Fruin-Colnon Corporation and Ohio Valley Corporation and safety manager for multiple companies throughout his career. Currently, this expert serves as a senior safety consultant for an international construction management company and the principal of an accident prevention and instruction firm in Maryland.
