This expert has almost 15 years of experience in outdoor recreation. He earned his BS and MS in outdoor recreation and resource management and his PhD in Leisure Behavior from Indiana University. He previously served as a wilderness and mountaineering ranger at Inyo National Forest and as a wilderness instructor at SOAR. He has also worked as an instructor of outdoor adventures and as the program coordinator of the conservation and outdoor recreation education program at Indiana University. He currently serves as an assistant professor of recreation and leisure studies, as the founder and president of an education consultancy, and as a senior wilderness instructor of an outdoor recreation company in California.
