Expert Qualifications
Dr. David R. Dutton has over twenty years of experience in Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology. He received his MS in Toxicology from the University of Arizona and his Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of Kansas Medical Center. He then went on to complete Postdoctoral Training at the University of California San Francisco. Today, this expert is a Certified Industrial Hygienist by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. Formerly, he served for BP Amoco/BP PLC in a number of roles, including as an Industrial Hygiene Team Lead for the Unified Area Command on the Deepwater Horizon Response and as a Manager of Health and Environmental Sciences Manager for the BP Gulf Coast Restoration Organization. During his tenure, his roles included occupational exposure assessments at a refinery and a petrochemical plant, identification and communication of potential risks, oversight of toxicology testing programs, regulatory compliance, community exposure assessments, and oversight of toxicological research regarding chemical products. He was also the Owner and Principal Consultant for DRD Toxicology Services, Inc. His latest role is as a Principal Consultant at Experien Health Sciences, Inc where he focuses on global product safety and industrial hygiene issues.
