Expert Qualifications
Dr. Donald A. Balder Jr has 26 years of experience in the fields of General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. He earned his BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He completed an internship in General Surgery at the University of Illinois Hospital and a residency in General Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital and today, this expert is board certified in Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as a Bariatric Surgeon for the Surgical Specialists of Mississippi and the Surgical Specialists of Louisiana. He was also the Medical Director of Conway Medical Center. He currently serves as the Owner of the Mississippi Institute of Weight Loss Surgery and Gulf Coast Aesthetics, where he also serves as a Bariatric Surgeon.
