Expert Qualifications
Dr. Donald J. Hoffmann has 37 years of experience in the field of Chemical Engineering. He earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University and both his MS and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University. Today he is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators and a Fire Investigator through the Alabama Fire College & Personnel Standards and Education Commission. Additionally, he is licensed as a Professional Engineer in eight states. Formerly, this expert served as a Marketing Specialist at Harshaw/Filtrol Partnership and as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Engineering at Wayne State University. Since 1988, this expert has served as the President of Safety Engineering Laboratories, Inc., where he also serves as a Senior Scientist.
