Dr. Edwin J. Polverino has over 25 years of experience in the field of Family Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine. He earned his BS from the University of Florida and his DO from Southeastern University. After completing his rotating internship at Alleghany Regional Hospital, he went on to complete a prestigious residency in Family Medicine at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He is active in his field as a Member of the American Osteopathic Association and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. Previously, he served as a Family Practice Physician at several medical practices, including the Lewis-Gale Clinic and Columbia Physician Services. Additionally, he held the role of President in Carilion Medical Center, he also served as the Medical Director at two county jails, as the Regional Medical Director at Carilion Clinic. Currently, this expert is a Family Practice Physician at a Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and as an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at a Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
