He earned his BS in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy and his MD from the University of Mississippi before subsequently completing his residency in emergency medicine at the Morristown Memorial Hospital and his fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is board certified in emergency medicine and is active in his field as a member of the American College of Emergency Medicine. Before transitioning to the medical field, this expert served in the army for 5 years and spent 6 years working for Swayze and Church as a mechanical engineer. He then went on to work at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, serving as the assistant medical director of critical care transport, an associate professor of emergency medicine, the director of the critical care fellowship, and an attending physician in the surgical intensive care unit. He has also served as the medical director for Pegasus Emergency Group, the regional medical director of the East region for AlignMD, and the medical director of the emergency department at Blount Memorial Hospital. Currently, this expert serves as the co-medical director of the emergency team at a medical school in Alabama and as an attending physician of emergency medicine for a health system in Mississippi.
