Expert Qualifications
Dr. Emil Hayek has over 20 years of experience in the field of Cardiovascular Disease. He earned his BS in Engineering Sciences from Pennsylvania State University and his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic. Today, this expert is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is also certified in Nuclear Cardiology through the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and Adult Transthoracic Plus Stress Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, and as the Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center at Akron General Medical Center. Currently, he serves as the President, Founder, and Medical Director at the UH Western Reserve Heart Care and as a Cardiologist at the University Hospitals of Cleveland.
