Expert Qualifications
Dr. Eric D. Lederman has 23 years of experience in the field of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He earned his BS in Chemistry from Yale University and his MD from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. After completing an internship in General Surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and a residency in General Surgery at Albany Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board-certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Formerly, he served as the Medical Director of the St. Louis Surgical Center and as a Surgeon at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. Until his retirement from full-time surgical practice in March 2021, he also served as a Surgeon with Suburban Surgical Associates, Inc. He is currently practicing part-time as a Physician at the Baystate Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center and as a Surgeon (First Assistant) at Berkshire Medical Center.
