Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert has 10 years of experience as a meteorologist, with a wealth of experience predicting short-term weather hazards including tornadoes, high winds, hail, flooding, and winter storms over all of North America. He earned his BS in atmospheric science from the University of Kansas and has completed a dual-polarization radar training course through the Office of Weather Programs & Projects at the University of Oklahoma, as well as a North American Workshop on Hail & Hailstorms through the National Center for Atmospheric Research, and the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety. This expert is a certified consulting meteorologist and is active in his field as a member of the American Meteorological Society and that National Weather Association. He has also given several presentations at meteorology seminars throughout his career. He began his career as a storm warning meteorologist at AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions before serving as the lead storm warning meteorologist and then the senior storm warning meteorologist. Throughout his career, he has also provided expert weather consultation to many Fortune 500 companies during major weather events, including severe thunderstorm and tornado situations and major hurricanes. Currently, this expert serves as an expert senior forensic meteorologist for a commercial weather service for businesses.
