Expert Qualifications
This qualified expert has over 30 years of experience in medical toxicology and pediatrics. He earned his BA from the University of Pennsylvania and his MD from Yale University before completing his medical training with an internship and residency in pediatrics at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Today, this expert is double board certified in pediatrics and medical toxicology and stays active in his field as a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Medical Toxicology. Additionally, he has authored 65 peer-reviewed articles and 9 books with titles that include "Lead poisoning in a child with a gunshot wound" and "The effect of lead on blood pressure in children". Among his former roles, this expert served as adjunct associate professor of pharmacy practice at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, the director of clinical toxicology at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, a professor of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania, and the medical director of the Poison Control Center in Philadelphia. Currently, he is an attending emergency medicine physician and a senior toxicologist at a children's hospital as well as a senior toxicologist at a poison control center in Pennsylvania.
