Expert Qualifications
This highly-qualified expert has over 20 years of experience working in visual rehabilitation therapy. She earned a BA from the University in New Orleans, an MEd from The University of Texas at Austin, and an EdD from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. She is a certified orientation and mobility specialist by the Academy for Certifying Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals. This expert stays active in her field as a member of multiple professional societies, including the New York Vision Rehabilitation Association and the Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Formerly, this expert held positions as an O&M program consultant at First Steps Georgia and a project coordinator for vision rehabilitation therapists at Lighthouse International. She is currently the project coordinator of the rehabilitation therapy and orientation and mobility programs at a college in New York as well as the co-founder and inventor of a nonprofit organization for mobility visual impairment and blindness.
