This board-certified interventional pulmonologist has over two decades of experience in clinical practice. He earned his BS from Lycee Jacques Audiberti and his MD at the University of Nice School of Medicine. This expert completed his internship and residency, both in internal medicine, at the University of Pittsburgh and fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University and at the laser center at Hospital Sainte Marguerite. He holds memberships in the American College of Chest Physicians and the World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology. This expert is also well-published having written 150 peer-reviewed articles, 19 books, and 45 book chapters on topics involving laser bronchoscopy. Formerly, this expert served as a Professor of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as the Associate Director of Pulmonary Special Procedures and Nd:YAG Laser Unit, as the Director of the Ambulatory Chest Medicine Clinic, University of California San Diego, and as the Primary Chest Physician in the Emphysema Treatment Group at the University of California San Diego. He also formerly served as a Professor of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as the Director of Respiratory Therapy and as the Director of Bronchoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology at the University of California Irvine. Currently, this expert serves as a Professor Emeritus at a CA university.
