Expert Qualifications
Dr. James D. Geyer has over 24 years of experience in the fields of Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He earned his BS in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University and his MD from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Neurology at UAB Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Michigan Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurology and certified in Sleep Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Sleep Medicine and as the Director of the Neurology Program at the University of Alabama. Currently, he serves as Medical Director of Sleep Medicine at Alabama Neurology and Sleep Medicine and DCH Regional Medical Center.
