Expert Qualifications
This expert has over 35 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in elevator and escalator maintenance. He received his BS in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College, followed by his MS in management from Polytechnic University. He then served as a mechanical engineer for EBASCO before becoming a senior mechanical engineer for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He was in this role for 30 years, where he performed maintenance evaluations and inspections of vertical transportation equipment, including escalators. This expert is currently a licensed professional engineer in the states of New York and New Jersey, and he is also a certified elevator inspector. He is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the NYC Elevator Technical Code Committee. He is currently a transportation equipment consultant in the New York/New Jersey area.
