Expert Qualifications
Dr. Janet E. Stout has over 40 years of experience in the fields of Epidemiology and Microbiology. She earned her BS in Biology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and her MS and PhD in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. Formerly, she served as a Research Assistant Professor in the division of Infectious Disease at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and as a Microbiologist at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center's Special Pathogens Laboratory. She is currently the Founder and President of Special Pathogens Technology and the Founder and Executive Vice President of Special Pathogens Laboratory. She also serves as a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh- Swanson School of Engineering.
