Expert Qualifications
Dr. Jeffrey L. Metzner has 44 years of experience in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. He earned his BS in Zoology from the University of Maryland, College Park and his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed both an internship and a residency in Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Certified Correctional Health Professional - Advanced through the National Commission on Correctional Healthcare. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Lecturer-in-Law at the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver, and as an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Currently, he is the Owner of Jeffrey L. Metzner, M.D., P.C., where he also serves as a Forensic Psychiatrist. He also serves as an Associate Director of the Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program and as a Clinical Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
