Expert Qualifications
This highly-qualified expert earned her BS in biology from Randolph College and her MD from Virginia Commonwealth University She completed a first prestigious residency in pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco and a second in pediatrics genetics and metabolism, at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She is board certified in clinical genetics and is an active member of her field as a member of the American College of Medical Genetics. Additionally, she is a reviewer of the American Journal of Medical Genetics and has published several peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter. Formerly, she was an assistant professor of pediatric clinical genetics and a pediatric medical geneticist at East Carolina University. Currently, she is an assistant professor of pediatrics and a pediatric clinical geneticist at a university-affiliated health system in VA.
