Expert Qualifications
Dr. John G. McManus Jr. has 24 years of experience in the fields of Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services. He earned his BS from the University of North Georgia, his MBA from Brenau University, and his MD from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. After completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Medicine. Formerly, the expert served as a Fellowship Director of Emergency Medical Services at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and as the Director of the Center for Pre-Deployment Medicine at the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence. In 2012, he retired from the United States Army with the rank of Colonel. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Medicine and the Director of the Emergency Medicine Services Fellowship at Augusta University, and as a Physician at Augusta University Health.
