Expert Qualifications
Dr. John J. Kelly has 24 years of experience in the field of General Surgery. He earned his BA in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross and his MD from the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. He completed his residency in General Surgery and his fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School and as the Director of the Division of General, Bariatric, and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Currently, he serves as the Chief of General, Bariatric, and Minimally Invasive Surgery and as the Vice Chair for Outreach at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He also serves as the Director of the
Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship and as a Professor of Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.
