Expert Qualifications
Dr. Joseph P. Deangelis has over 14 years of experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in Orthopaedic Trauma, Sports Medicine, and Shoulder Surgery. He earned his BS in Chemistry from Trinity College, his MD from UMass Chan Medical School, and his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. After completing his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, he went on to complete his fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as Instructor and an Assistant Professor and in Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Currently, he serves as a Physician of Orthopedic Surgery and as the Director of Research in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center within the Beth Israel Lahey Health system and as an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
