Expert Qualifications
Dr. Joshua D. Sanderson has over 8 years of experience in the fields of Forensic Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He earned his BS in Biology from Louisiana State University and his MD from LSU Health Shreveport. After completing his residency in Adult Psychiatry, he went on to complete two fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and in Forensic Psychiatry at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport. Today, this expert is board certified in Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Formerly, this expert worked as an Instructor at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans and as a Physician at Beacon Behavioral Hospital- New Orleans, LLC. Currently, this expert serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans. He also works as the Medical Director and Physician at Acadiana Treatment Center and as a Physician at the Children's Hospital New Orleans.
