Expert Qualifications
This highly qualified expert has nearly 50 years of experience in automotive mechanics. He graduated from Ensley High School with a major in machine shop, before enlisting in the United States Army, where he worked as a maintenance instructor in helicopter repair for 4 years. He then worked in local dealerships for 5 years, before going on to serve as an automotive mechanic at Taylor Speed Sports, a high performance machine shop, and at Bobby Allison Racing, where he designed and built engines and chasis components. Throughout the course of his career, this expert has had many noteworthy achievements, including building two NASCAR winning engines and 13 Daytona winning engines. He also hosted CarTech, a one-hour call-in radio show that was on five mornings weekly, in which he was known as the original "Car Doc." In his free time, this expert is an active member of the Automotive Service Association and the American Arbitration Association. He is also a board member of several organizations, including the Alabama Auto Racing Pioneers. In 1971, he opened a well-known, full-service automotive machine shop in Alabama, where he still works.
