Expert Qualifications
This highly-qualified expert has over 10 years in milk banking operations. She received her BS in marine science and literature from Evergreen State College, her MA in teaching from Lewis and Clark College, and her EdD in education leadership from George Clark University. She is certified as a breastfeeding counselor through Birthingway College of Midwifery and as a lactation consultant through the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. Her former positions include senior director of educational media and OPB interactive for Oregon Public Broadcasting and managing director of public internet channel and education media consulting at One Economy. She has also served as a workplace lactation support coordinator for the Nursing Mothers Counsel of Oregon and the executive director of the Breastfeeding Coalition of Oregon, as well as been a consultant on public policy for human milk banking. Currently, this expert serves as the program manager for a maternal health education program based in Utah.
