Expert Qualifications
Dr. Marvin D. Nelson Jr has 36 years of experience in the fields of Neuroradiology, Pediatric Radiology, and Diagnostic Radiology. He earned his BS and his MD from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and his MBA from USC Marshall School of Business. After completing an internship and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Neuroradiology at the Ann & Robert H Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and in Interventional Neuroradiology at Foundation Ophtalmologique Adolphe De Rothschild. Today, this expert is board certified in Neuroradiology, Pediatric Radiology, and Diagnostic Radiology. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Southern California and as an Acting Chairman in the Department of Radiology and Imaging at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and as a Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Southern California.
